The LSU Tigers face the Alabama Crimson Tidein a battle to stay alive in the College Football Playoffs.

In this article, we’ll show you the Fighting Tigers 2024 football schedule and how they fare each week against opponents inside and outside the Southeastern Conference.

Kicking off what promises to be a high-scoring season, first-year starter Garrett Nussmeier has stepped in and up admirably to replace Jayden Daniels as LSU’s quarterback. The emergence of freshman running back Caden Durham has added speed and brute force to the rushing attack and Kyren Lacy has become WR1 among a depleted group of wideouts.

Despite the new offensive coordinator, Joe Sloan, the Fighting Tigers are putting points on the board.

“Wish we were cleaner in the first half. The mistakes are maddening,” Tigers coach Brian Kelly said. “Those are the guys we got. There’s nobody getting traded. … We’re going to keep working with them and they’re going to turn the corner.”

Week 5: LSU, South Alabama

LSU handily beat South Alabama Jaguars as Garrett Nussmeier threw for a career-high 409 yards and freshman running back Caden Durham had 217 yards.
